The Edenton Chowan Partnership, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit dedicated to promoting, preserving, and enhancing the vitality of Edenton and Chowan County, and for charitable, scientific, literary and educational purposes. The Partnership works in association with the County, Town, and the private sector to undertake initiatives that foster new business development, retain existing businesses, create private investment and jobs, and increase local revenues. We work to improve the quality of life by fostering workforce education, awareness, and promotion of our County and Town, as well as providing information for potential retirees or economic developers to build stronger, stable, social, economic, and community strengths.

A Grand Vision for Edenton and Chowan County
The Edenton Chowan Partnership aims to improve the quality of life for local residents while promoting sustainable economic and social growth in the town of Edenton and Chowan County. Our mission is to conduct research and provide information that supports responsible economic development opportunities. We strive to encourage workforce development that benefits existing businesses and attracts new ones to our business-friendly environment. Additionally, we help promote the area’s lifestyle and community living assets, making it an attractive destination for potential retirees seeking a beautiful waterfront community.
Examples of Our Work
- Assist existing industry with information about state grants and grant writing for industrial growth and expansion
- Fund research studies to assist the Town of Edenton and Chowan County with economic development opportunities.
- Adopt resolutions in support of projects and initiatives in support of area business and industry.
- Support local education initiatives that promote and expand opportunities for career and technical education K-12.
- Support and foster local workforce and education training initiatives through College of The Albemarle to enhance and develop needed workforce skills.

We work to improve the quality of life by fostering workforce education, awareness and promotion of our County and Town, as well as providing information for potential retirees or economic developers to build stronger, stable, social, economic, and community strengths.
