A Government That Invests in People and Businesses

In today’s economy, companies are looking to invest in communities that offer support from both the public and private sectors.

In order to thrive, businesses need local governments that will understand the changing needs of the economy and proactively offer support in order to meet the demands of industry.

Welcome to the thriving business ecosystem of Edenton and Chowan County where companies can rely on a local government that invests in people and businesses.

Our economy carries a rich heritage of stability, economic growth, and entrepreneurship.

Here, local government not only celebrates but actively supports a dynamic blend of industries that adds a layer of unexpected diversity to our economy, from established large-scale companies to innovative small enterprises.

Our business landscape is a mosaic of different industries, including industrial and manufacturing sectors, healthcare services, agriculture, tourism, and so much more.

This drives investment, encouraging business endeavors with a wealth of opportunities that spark growth, development, and success.

In Edenton and Chowan County, we’re not just conducting business – we’re building dreams, shaping futures, and contributing to a robust and vibrant economy that benefits everyone.

Here, we believe that everyone wins when businesses and governments work together.

The Town of Edenton was incredibly supportive and quite professional in working with The Herringbone Restaurant…we are so grateful that the Town is supportive of new businesses and so willing to help…both the Town of Edenton and Chowan County have been and continue to be big supporters of business and work hard to find solutions to help new business owners get established in this great community.
